Glossary
Every noun Cooriroo uses, defined in a sentence, with a note on which ones your tenant can rename.

Definitions for the words the rest of the documentation assumes. Eight of them — trip, stop, task, driver, vehicle, destination, origin and shift — can be renamed per tenant, so the word on your screen may not be the word here. Where that is the case the entry says so, and Terminology is where the renaming happens.
Organisation and people
Terminology
Your organisation can rename these. If your screens say something else, this is what they mean here.
- Tenant
- Your organisation, and the boundary around all of your data. Every record belongs to exactly one tenant, and no tenant can read another’s rows.
- User
- Anyone who signs in. A user is one of a small set of types — super admin, admin or driver — and carries roles on top of that type.
- Admin
- A user who works in the web console: plans trips, manages the fleet, runs the tenant. What an admin can actually do is decided by their roles.
- Driver
- The person carrying out a trip, working from the mobile app or the driver portal. Some tenants call these operators, couriers, riders or crew.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Super admin
- A platform-level account that operates across tenants. Super admins bypass permission checks entirely and are not part of ordinary tenant staffing.
Access

- Role
- A named bundle of permissions granted to a user. Roles can have a parent, in which case they inherit everything the parent grants.
- Permission
- One thing a user may do, written as resource:action — for example trips:read or vehicles:write. Permissions are granted through roles, never directly.
- API key
- A credential for another system rather than a person. A key carries scopes in the same resource:action shape and is limited to what those scopes allow.
- Feature flag
- A switch that turns part of the product on or off for a tenant. Some flags are entitlements from your plan; others are choices you make.
Work
Terminology

- Trip
- One journey with an ordered list of stops, a type, a priority and optionally a driver and vehicle. Some tenants call these routes, runs or jobs.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Stop
- One place on a trip, in sequence. A pickup, delivery, transfer or service call. Some tenants call these calls, drops or visits.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Task
- A unit of work — photograph this, collect a signature, verify a PIN. A task hangs off a stop, or stands alone assigned straight to a person.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Delivery pool
- A bag of destinations with a deadline and no route yet. Pools are resolved into concrete trips later, by an admin, by suggestion, or by drivers claiming work.
- Trip template
- A saved stop list used to generate trips repeatedly, for work that runs on the same shape every day or every week.
- Route plan
- The calculated drive for a trip: distance, duration, the legs between stops and the order they are best taken in. Recalculated as the trip changes.
Places

- Destination
- A place goods are delivered to, held as a standing record with contacts and an optional geofence. Some tenants call these sites, stops or customers.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Origin
- A place goods come from — a warehouse, restaurant, hub or commissary. Some tenants call these depots, kitchens or branches.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Geofence
- A radius around a stop. Crossing the approach radius marks the stop approaching; dwelling inside the arrival radius marks it arrived, without the driver tapping anything.
Proof

- Proof of delivery
- The evidence captured against a task: photos, a signature, a recipient name, a verified PIN. Held per task, not per trip.
- Required proof
- A proof a task will not complete without. Listed on the task, and checked at the moment the driver tries to finish it.
- PIN verification
- A code the recipient reads back to the driver. Either set in advance or emailed when the trip starts. Three wrong attempts lock the task out.
- Waiver
- An explicit release from a required proof for one task, recorded against it. The alternative to a driver being stuck at a door with no way to finish.
Fleet

- Vehicle
- What a driver drives, with features, an ownership type and an operational status: active, inactive, in maintenance or out of service.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Inspection
- A recorded check of a vehicle — pre-trip, post-trip or periodic — resulting in passed, failed, or passed with defects.
- Work order
- A maintenance job against a vehicle. Raised by hand, or automatically when an inspection logs a major or critical defect.
- Service schedule
- A standing rule that brings a vehicle in for service on mileage, on elapsed time, or on whichever comes first.
- Maintenance log
- The running history of a vehicle. Work order status changes write to it automatically, so the record does not depend on anyone remembering.
Time

- Shift
- A block of a driver’s working time, scheduled or ad-hoc. Clocking on starts it, clocking off totals it. Some tenants call these duties or rosters.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Shift template
- A saved start and end time used to create shifts without retyping them, singly or in bulk across a team and a date range.
- Break
- A period inside an active shift. Break minutes are deducted from working time, and an open break is what makes a driver read as on break.
- No-show
- A scheduled shift never started, detected automatically once the grace period passes. It marks the shift missed and logs a compliance event.
- Hours of service
- The daily, weekly and rest limits a driver’s hours are checked against. Breaches are surfaced as warnings on assignment, not blocks.
Data

- Custom field
- A field you define yourself on trips, stops, tasks, destinations, origins, vehicles, work orders, inspections, shifts or users. Filterable like any built-in field.
- Terminology
- The tenant setting that renames trip, stop, task, driver, vehicle, destination, origin and shift throughout the console, the app and notifications.Rename it in Settings → Terminology
- Import run
- One execution of a spreadsheet import, kept with its rows and their outcomes so a partly failed import can be understood rather than guessed at.
- Plan
- The subscription a tenant sits on. It sets the limits — users, vehicles, destinations, trips per month, storage — and which features are entitled.
